NSF ADVANCE Professorships

In December 2001, four senior women faculty members, one each from the Colleges of Engineering, Computing, Sciences, and Ivan Allen, were selected to hold NSF ADVANCE Professorships. Each faculty member will receive annual funds for five years to support her research and leadership activities to advance women in her respective college, and Institute-wide.

In addition to their individual projects, the professors are undertaking collective activities, including: (1) biweekly meetings to coordinate their projects and exchange ideas; (2) participation in campus events related to ADVANCE; and (3) planning and participation in the annual Georgia Tech ADVANCE Mini-Conferences.
