Georgia Tech ADVANCE Team
The six Georgia Tech ADVANCE Professors and the three Co-Directors of the Georgia Tech Center for the Study of Women, Science, and Technology (WST) constitute the ADVANCE Team, which meets monthly. The ADVANCE Team tracks data concerning hiring and advancement, particularly of female and underrepresented minority faculty; analyzes faculty work-life needs and initiatives; and sponsors faculty development programs such as Career Coaching and grants workshops to promote faculty research and advancement.
In addition, each ADVANCE Professor coordinates a network of faculty within her college and serves as a faculty advocate and liaison with her dean.
The WST Center partnered with the office of the Provost and the College of Engineering on the development and implementation of the Georgia Tech-National Science Foundation Institutional Transformation cooperative agreement (2001-07).
